The University of Minnesota Law Library is accepting applications for the position of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Librarian. This position is responsible for directing and promoting the Law Library’s ILL borrowing and document delivery services in support of the curricular, research, and scholarly needs of the Law School’s faculty, students, and staff, and administers the Library’s ILL lending services for institutions outside the Law Library.

The Minnesota Judicial Branch, State Law Library currently has an opening for a librarian in the Law Library Service to Prisoners (LLSP) program. Under an Inter-Agency Agreement between the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Minnesota State Law Library (MSLL), LLSP provides law library service to people incarcerated in Minnesota correctional facilities or otherwise under DOC jurisdiction. The LLSP librarian provides legal information services by researching and providing resources that respond to requests. Both independent and collaborative work are required. Responsibilities may include directing the work of paraprofessionals, interns, or volunteers. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Library Division Supervisor.

Overview: This position manages the department’s Transportation Library and Information Services Center by providing leadership, strategic direction, innovation, and supervision for a current team of 4 senior librarians and potential student workers. This position will drive library engagement with all of MnDOT as well as with cities and counties statewide, and lead engagement efforts within MnDOT to address current and anticipated information needs. This position will also lead efforts to develop strategic partnerships designed to use the MnDOT library physical space to host innovative and interactive exhibits and activities.
