    The 2014-2015 MALL Executive Board is now in place. Past President Sarah Mulligan handed off her gavel to new President Barb Minor at the annual meeting on May 16. VP Todd Fenton and Member-at-Large Karla Gedell will join Sarah, Barb, and Jean Boos for the next membership year.

    The 2014 election for MALL Vice-President/President Elect and Member-at Large is open. The candidates are Todd Fenton for VP/Pres. Elect and Karla Gedell for Member-at-Large.  Watch your email for their bios and a link to the ballot on Survey Monkey. Thanks for a great effort by the Nominations Committee-Karen Westwood, Leslie Greenwood and Hope Porter.

    This Friday, April 18th  is the deadline to apply for a MALL grant to attend this year's AALL Annual Meeting in San Antonio.  A grant application form is available on the MALL web site here:

    Friday is also the deadline to apply for a MALL Scholarship.  A MALL Scholarship application is also available on the MALL web site.

    The deadline to apply for a MALL scholarship has been extended to April 15th.

    Also, please note that the qualification that read:  “A scholarship applicant must have completed at least 50% of the program in which he/she is enrolled by the end of the term in which the application is completed,”

    Has been changed to read as follows: “A scholarship applicant must have completed the equivalent of one semester of coursework by the end of the term in which the application is completed”

    The reason for this change is to give more students, particularly part-time students, an opportunity to apply for a MALL scholarship earlier.  Complete details/qualifications and application forms are available at the MALL website.  If you have any questions please contact Vic Garces, or 612-624-2597.

    Law Librarianship Award & Distinguished Service Award Nominations

    MALL Scholarships Applications Deadline March 31st
    Are you enrolled in a degree-granting program that is library-related or law-related such as a library or information science program, a law school J.D. program, or even a undergraduate or graduate program in a computer technology field?  Then consider applying for a MALL Scholarship!

    MALL makes available a $1,000 scholarship each fiscal year to a MALL member enrolled in a qualified degree granting program. The scholarship is awarded in the spring for use during the first semester of the following academic year.  The application deadline is Monday, March 31st, so don't delay!

    MALL Grant Applications Deadline for AALL Meeting April 18th

    Need money to help pay for attending an upcoming professional conference, meeting or workshop this year?  Consider applying for a MALL Grant.  Each year MALL makes several grants available to members to attend job-related, professional development programs, conferences, and workshops, such as the MALL Annual Spring Meeting, the AALL Annual Meeting, and other job-related meetings, conferences and workshops.

    Don’t delay, the deadline for grant applications to attend the AALL Annual Meeting in San Antonio this summer is April 18th!  An application form is attached to this message.  Further details and an application form are available on the MALL website (Committees > MALL Awards, Grants & Scholarships).
